Peter Andre’s wife, Dr Emily, has been praised as “absolutely brilliant” for her hilariously relatable and honest video about the struggles of motherhood

While many  celebrity families glide across red carpets, Dr Emily Andre has reminded fans what real life looks like behind the glamour — and the internet is loving her for it.

The 36-year-old NHS doctor, who is married to pop star Peter Andre, was dubbed “absolutely brilliant” after sharing a hilariously relatable Instagram video about the unfiltered chaos of motherhood.

Standing at the kitchen sink surrounded by stacks of children’s crockery, Emily cheekily captioned the clip: AI is going to take your job, when? — a tongue-in-cheek nod to the endless domestic tasks that no robot seems ready to tackle.

The video showed her pulling a sarcastic smile while loading the dishwasher, scrubbing floors and clearing away toddler leftovers. At one point, she was even seen sitting inside her child’s playpen, sorting toys before wiping down a highchair — a scene many parents instantly recognised.

Emily and Peter, 52, met in 2010 — after her father, consultant urologist Dr Ruaraidh MacDonagh, treated the singer for kidney stones — before marrying in 2015. Together they share Amelia, 12, Theo, nine, and 22-month-old Arabella. Peter is also father to Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, from his previous marriage to Katie Price.

Despite their high-profile life, Emily has consistently been open about keeping things grounded at home. Fans flooded her comment section, with one writing: What a beautiful human being. You lucky man Peter. Others chimed in with Exactly! When pretty please? and Absolutely brilliant, while another admitted, Hahaahahah! I know that feeling.

Beyond the humour, Emily has also spoken candidly about her parenting philosophy. Appearing on the True Reflections with Gia Mills podcast in January, she revealed she consciously avoids over-praising her daughter Amelia’s appearance to prevent her becoming overly focused on looks.

She explained that when people compliment others, the first thing that often comes out is I really love your hair, or you look really beautiful, especially with girls. While she does tell her son he looks really handsome, she said she tries to focus much more on her children’s strengths and talents so that life doesn’t become all about how you look.

The couple have also banned their children from using social media until they turn 16 — a firm boundary in today’s digital age.

For many, Emily’s honest glimpse into the everyday messiness of motherhood was a refreshing reminder that behind every celebrity smile is a sink full of dishes — and sometimes, a mum hiding in a playpen just to tidy up.
