IAN Huntley’s daughter last night said “there’s a special place in hell waiting for him” after he was left fighting for life having been bludgeoned with a metal pole.
In a damning verdict on her Soham killer father, Samantha Bryan, 27, said she was “glad” to hear the former school caretaker had suffered a vicious assault in prison.
She compared Huntley, who murdered ten-year-olds Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in 2002, to Fred and Rose West and the Yorkshire Ripper.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun on Sunday, Samantha said: “I started crying because I thought he was dead — it was an overwhelming sense of relief.
“Being his daughter has been a heavy burden. It felt like I could breathe again. I felt if he died, that burden died with him.”
Samantha only found out she was the killer’s daughter when she was 14 while taking part in a school crime project – stumbling across a pixilated internet picture of her and her mum in connection to Huntley.

Her mother Katie Bryan then told her she had been in a relationship with Huntley when she was 15, becoming pregnant at 16, before fleeing his brutal antics.
Samantha, who is Huntley’s only child, added: “Mum rang me and told me a friend of hers had just been in touch and Ian had suffered a brutal attack and he was fighting for his life.
“It immediately had a very big impact on me. I got very emotional. There’s a special place in hell waiting for him.”
Her mum Katie, 45, told The Sun on Sunday: “I think he got what he deserves. I hope he burns in hell.
