Katie Price shares end-of-life concerns for 30-stone son Harvey, 23: ‘He’s just getting bigger’

Katie Price has opened up about her growing fears for the health of her eldest son Harvey, admitting she worries his life could be in danger if his weight continues to increase.

Speaking candidly on her podcast The Katie Price Show alongside her sister Sophie, the former glamour model shared the emotional toll of watching her 23-year-old son struggle with severe obesity linked to his complex medical conditions.

Katie revealed that Harvey’s breathing during sleep has become one of her biggest worries. She explained that when he sleeps she often lies awake listening to him because he snores heavily, wheezes and sometimes even stops breathing for brief moments. According to Katie, his weight has continued to rise and she fears the consequences could be devastating.

She told Sophie that Harvey is “massive” and keeps getting bigger, adding that she fears he could “end up dying of a heart attack.”

Harvey currently weighs around 30 stone (approximately 188kg), and Katie said doctors warned her years ago that the risks associated with his weight were extremely serious. She recalled being told that if Harvey didn’t lose weight, he would be prone to suffering a heart attack.

The reality star also shared her frustration over trying to secure medical help to address the problem. Katie said she has been attempting to get Harvey prescribed Mounjaro — a medication used to treat obesity — but finding a workable solution has proved difficult.

She stressed she wasn’t criticising the NHS but admitted she feels desperate for help, saying doctors are fully aware that Harvey falls into the obese category. Katie even revealed she may turn to her followers to ask if anyone knows a private doctor who could assist.

Saying she feels terrible watching her son struggle, Katie added that something urgently needs to be done because Harvey’s size has become a serious concern.

Harvey lives with several complex health conditions. He has Prader-Willi syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that causes constant hunger and often leads to severe obesity. He also has Septo-optic dysplasia, ADHD, autism and oppositional defiant disorder — a combination that makes managing his weight especially challenging.

Katie has previously admitted that Harvey does not fully understand the seriousness of his condition. Last year she said it was heartbreaking to watch someone go through obesity when they don’t fully grasp what is happening to their body.

Over the years, she has tried a number of approaches to help improve his health, including adjusting his diet and encouraging more physical activity. At one point she even considered enrolling Harvey in boxing training and gym sessions to boost his fitness.

She also revealed that he briefly began weight-loss injections last year and managed to lose around a stone and a half before progress stalled.

Despite the ongoing challenges, Katie insists she will continue doing everything she can to help her son. Speaking emotionally, she said she loves Harvey and remains determined to support him through the battle for his health.
