Geri Halliwell lit up backstage at Cruz Beckham’s latest London gig, sharing a heartfelt moment with the rising musician just as his famous family rallied around him — in a night that blended celebration, nostalgia and lingering tension.
The former Spice Girl, 53, beamed as she posed alongside Cruz, 21, after his performance at The Courtyard Theatre in Hoxton, where he took to the stage with his band The Breakers. Posting the snap on Instagram the next day, Geri didn’t hold back her admiration, writing: This dude is a star.

Her bandmate Victoria Beckham was quick to react, flooding the comments with love-heart emojis — a subtle but telling sign of support from one Spice Girl to another, and from a proud mum to her son.
But the night wasn’t just about music. It also turned into a mini Spice Girls reunion as Geri reconnected with Victoria and David Beckham, with the trio seen dancing together as they celebrated Cruz’s growing career.
Fresh off the high of the gig, Cruz revealed even bigger plans ahead. Speaking in a video shared online, he told fans: Hello fellow Breakers. We are very happy and proud to announce the second leg of the For Your Love tour. We’re coming to America and Canada. We’re excited to see you there so get your tickets now.

The tour is set to kick off in Washington D.C. on July 28 before heading across major cities including Brooklyn, Toronto, Chicago, Minneapolis and Seattle, followed by stops in Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles before returning to the UK.
Yet behind the applause and excitement, emotions ran high on stage. Just days earlier, Cruz was visibly moved while performing his song Loneliest Boy — a track many believe is a deeply personal reflection on his fractured relationship with older brother Brooklyn.
As Romeo and parents David and Victoria watched from the crowd, Cruz struggled to hold himself together, faltering over the lyrics before bandmate Dan Ewins stepped in with a comforting arm around his shoulders. At one point, the young singer wiped away tears with his sleeve while singing lines that struck a chord with fans: Loneliest boy, mama don’t talk too much, it’s breaking her heart.

Audience members noticed the emotional weight of the performance, with one concert-goer revealing that he seemed overwhelmed as the song unfolded, adding to speculation about its meaning.
The lyrics themselves only fuelled the conversation, with lines such as It shows in the small things that you don’t do and Don’t push all your friends away, when we’re tryna show you love leaving fans convinced the song is about Brooklyn’s ongoing estrangement from the Beckham family.
That rift has continued to make headlines. Earlier this month, Brooklyn once again sparked controversy by failing to acknowledge Victoria on Mother’s Day, instead publicly celebrating his mother-in-law Claudia Peltz — a move many saw as deliberate.
Sources have also claimed that Brooklyn is actively distancing himself from his parents, with reports suggesting he prefers communication to go through legal channels. Despite repeated attempts by David and Victoria to reach out — including public birthday tributes — Brooklyn has largely remained silent.
While Cruz pours his emotions into music and his parents show unwavering support from the sidelines, the Beckham family’s ongoing divide continues to cast a shadow — even on nights meant for celebration.
