
Alison Hammond has shared the secrets behind her incredible 11-stone weight loss, revealing the dramatic lifestyle changes that helped her lose the pounds after receiving a pre-diabetes health warning.

At her heaviest, the This Morning presenter, 51, weighed 30 stone, but after learning she was pre-diabetic, Alison made the difficult decision to change her habits, starting with her food choices and fitness routine.
“I was terrified and sad when I got the diagnosis. It was such a tough time,” Alison admitted. “I realized that, at some point, you have to look after yourself.”

Breaking the ‘Childish Mentality’ Towards Food
Alison’s transformation started five years ago when she began working with a personal trainer to regain her fitness and adopt a healthier diet. Previously, Alison had a “childish mentality” towards food, especially with her love for sweets, particularly toffees. Now, she only allows herself a couple of toffees a day.

In addition to cutting back on sweets, Alison made a commitment to walking and exercising regularly to improve her strength and aid her recovery. “Getting blood pumping around a wound area is very important,” she explained. “From that moment, I knew I was on a different path, and I didn’t come off it.”
A New Focus on Fitness and Healthy Eating
While Alison has incorporated some meat back into her diet, she now opts for healthier, organic options instead of fast food. “I used to live on sandwiches and sweets, but now it’s about moderation,” she said.
In addition to her diet changes, Alison now follows a strict fitness routine that includes Reformer Pilates, boxing, and circuit classes. She swears by Reformer Pilates for its incredible stretching benefits and has also embraced early-morning circuit training sessions with Steve Hensel at Blue Zone.
“Pilates has been brilliant for me,” Alison explained. “You feel amazing after it.”
Avoiding Weight-Loss Jabs
Despite the rise in popularity of weight-loss injections, Alison has openly admitted that she isn’t interested in using them. “I get scared when I hear the scary stories about weight-loss jabs,” she shared. “For people who need them, I think they’re a good thing, but for me, I just don’t want to go down that route.”
