Katie Price has been banned from driving for the seventh time, capping off a long and deeply controversial history behind the wheel that has stretched across more than a decade. The former glamour model, now 47, has spent a total of six years banned from driving since 2010, after a string of offences involving speeding, failing to respond to police, driving while disqualified and a drink-driving crash that turned her BMW over.

Her latest conviction came after a Ford Capri registered to her was caught travelling at 80mph on a 70mph stretch of the A64 near Strutton in North Yorkshire at 3.03pm on October 15, 2025. CCTV released by police showed Price behind the wheel on the same day she appeared on stage with Kerry Katona for their show at Scarborough Spa.
Court papers revealed she was sent a police letter about the incident on October 20, followed by a reminder on November 10 warning of looming criminal proceedings. But no reply was received to either letter. She was later found guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver, and the case resulted in a six-month driving ban as well as more than £1,000 in legal penalties. The speeding charge itself was withdrawn.

The latest ruling has thrown fresh attention on a driving record once described by a judge as “one of the worst driving records” they had ever seen. Katie herself has previously admitted that getting insurance has been extremely difficult because of her history, and she also claimed she believed someone had made anonymous complaints to the DVLA accusing her of being “not fit to drive” in an attempt to stop her getting her licence back.
Her first ban came in December 2010 after a series of offences built up enough points to take her off the road for six months. That run included three points in June 2008 for using her phone while driving, another four points in July 2010 for speeding at 99mph, three more in September that year for veering across the road in her 7½-ton pink horsebox, and another three points for driving at 83mph.

In August 2012, she was handed a 12-month ban after failing to respond to two speeding tickets. Years later, in February 2018, she was banned again for six months after failing to identify who had been driving her speeding car.
Her legal troubles intensified in 2019. In January of that year, she was banned for a further three months for driving while already banned, and then just a month later she was hit with another three-month disqualification. By November 2019, the situation had escalated again when she received a two-year ban, though that was later reduced to 18 months on appeal.
But it was the September 2021 crash that caused the biggest shock. Price overturned her BMW in Horsham, West Sussex, in what became one of the most serious incidents in her motoring history. She was later banned for two years and given a suspended sentence in December 2021.

At the time, District Judge Amanda Kelly did not hold back. She said the public would be “appalled” and told Price she deserved to be spending Christmas behind bars. The judge said: “Your actions on that night were incredibly selfish.” She added: “When you chose to get behind the wheel of the car that night, you showed no consideration for others. You could have killed someone’s child, partner, parent or friend.” She also told her: “You appear to think, it seems, that you are above the law.”
Katie later admitted the severity of what had happened. Reflecting on the crash, she said: “I could have killed myself. I could have killed someone else. I deserved to be punished, enough was enough.” She added that getting in the car had been “a terrible mistake” and said she was “so sorry”, describing it as a moment when she had been triggered and was “spiralling out of control because I needed help.”
Now, with a seventh ban added to her record, the latest case has once again raised questions over how one of Britain’s most headline-making celebrities continues to find herself at the centre of driving scandals. From a pink horsebox veering across the road to repeated speeding offences, ignored police letters, a rollover crash and years of bans, Katie Price’s history behind the wheel remains as chaotic as ever — and shows no sign of fading from public scrutiny.
