Kerry Katona has opened up about a deeply emotional chapter in her life, revealing she suffered two miscarriages with boyfriend Paolo Margaglione after unexpectedly falling pregnant during filming for Celebs Go Dating.
The 45-year-old singer shared the painful details during a candid appearance on Paul C Brunson’s We Need To Talk podcast — marking the first time she has publicly spoken about the experience.
Kerry explained that she had no idea she was pregnant at the time, while Paolo recalled the moment he suspected something was different. He said he realised early one morning, telling her, “You’re pregnant,” after noticing subtle changes in her.

She went on to describe the moment she confirmed it herself, saying she had initially taken a test at night that showed a negative result, but something didn’t feel right. The next morning, she quietly took another test while trying not to wake Paolo. When she saw the result, she was stunned, recalling how she kept thinking, “No, no, no, no way,” before rushing to wake him up. After seven years without falling pregnant, the news came as a complete shock.
But the joy quickly turned into heartbreak.
Kerry revealed that she miscarried the baby, and after the couple decided to try again, she tragically suffered another miscarriage just weeks later. She admitted the second loss hit even harder, saying she hadn’t realised how much she truly wanted the baby until it was gone.
Reflecting on the emotional turmoil, Kerry shared that even the thought of ending the pregnancy had been unbearable, explaining it “felt like it was made from love,” making the loss even more painful.

This is not the first time the former Atomic Kitten star has faced such heartbreak. She previously revealed in her memoir that she suffered a miscarriage years earlier following a brief relationship after the death of her ex-husband George Kay — a traumatic experience that required medical intervention.
Kerry, who is already a mother of five, now finds herself navigating a new chapter with Paolo, whom she met during filming in 2025. The pair went public shortly after and quickly built a life together.
During the same interview, Kerry also reflected on her past relationship with ex-fiancé Ryan Mahoney, describing it as deeply unhappy for years. She admitted she felt emotionally neglected and claimed the breakdown left her physically unwell, even causing her hair to fall out due to stress. She also alleged that the split left her dealing with significant financial losses, saying he walked away with luxury items she is still paying for.

As if that wasn’t enough, Kerry revealed she also faced a frightening health scare earlier this year after being diagnosed with colitis. She described the pain as so intense she thought she was in labour, forcing her to call an ambulance when she was alone at home. Doctors later confirmed the condition after scans, though she says she has since recovered.
Despite everything, Kerry is now looking ahead — with plans to start fresh abroad. She confirmed she will be moving to Spain with Paolo later this year, although the decision has brought mixed reactions from her children.
While some have supported her new beginning, others are struggling with the idea of leaving the UK. Kerry admitted it hasn’t been easy trying to balance everyone’s emotions, but ultimately feels ready for a change — saying that if she’s going to spend time alone, she’d rather “sit in the sun.”
