After the huge success of last year’s debut season, The Celebrity Traitors is officially back — and this year’s cast may be even more chaotic, glamorous and unpredictable than anyone expected.
Hosted once again by Claudia Winkleman, the hit BBC reality phenomenon is returning to the eerie halls of Ardross Castle, where 21 celebrities will battle it out through lies, betrayal and psychological warfare.
And the newly confirmed line-up is packed with massive names.

Hollywood heavyweight Michael Sheen has officially joined the cast after months of rumours, alongside Ross Kemp, Miranda Hart, Maya Jama, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Richard E. Grant.
Fans will also see stars including Bella Ramsey, James Blunt, Joe Lycett, Romesh Ranganathan, Rob Beckett, Jerry Hall and Julie Hesmondhalgh entering the castle for what could become the most dramatic celebrity reality show of the year.
One of the biggest shocks for viewers is the signing of EastEnders icon Ross Kemp, who recently returned to EastEnders as Grant Mitchell. Producers reportedly managed to keep his appearance completely secret while filming preparations were already underway in Scotland.

Meanwhile, Michael Sheen is already being described behind the scenes as the “big dog” of the season. A source previously claimed: “Michael has had a lot of practice playing lying, duplicitous and scheming men — the Traitors should be a breeze.”
The insider added: “He is very much seen as a ‘big dog’ signing. Behind the scenes, everyone is hugely excited.”
Reality queen Maya Jama is also expected to become one of the season’s breakout stars as she swaps the Love Island villa for the dark psychological mind games of the castle.
Comedy fans are especially thrilled by the number of comedians entering this year’s competition, with Miranda Hart, James Acaster, Joe Lycett, Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett all confirmed.

Science expert Hannah Fry is also expected to be a dangerous player at the famous roundtable thanks to her analytical mind and mathematical background. One source teased: “It’s fair to say there are going to be some very clever people taking part this year.”
The cast also includes actress Sharon Rooney, influencer King Kenny, actress Myha’la, journalist Amol Rajan and comedian Joanne McNally — who accidentally appeared to confirm her involvement weeks ago after revealing she had “a job coming up” where she wouldn’t be allowed her phone.

Last year’s series ended with Alan Carr taking the win as a Traitor — and with this explosive cast now confirmed, viewers are already predicting even bigger betrayals, alliances and jaw-dropping twists for season two.
