Jesy Nelson has shared an emotional milestone with fans after her 11-month-old daughter Story Monroe said “muma” for the very first time.
The former Little Mix star posted the touching clip on Instagram, where baby Story could be heard clearly repeating the word as Jesy reacted with pure joy and disbelief.

Story was lying on the sofa wrapped in a blanket when she gave her mum the unforgettable surprise. Jesy could be heard cheering: “Yeahhhhhh! Yesss clever girl. Storyyy good girl, you’re such a clever girl. Wow well done. Yeah do it again.”
Writing over the video, Jesy added: “Story said muma for the first time my life is complete.” She later captioned the post: “My heart is so full.”
The milestone is especially emotional after Jesy revealed in January that her twin daughters, Story Monroe and Ocean Jade, had been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1, known as SMA1 — a genetic condition that affects the muscles and motor nerve cells.

Jesy and her ex-fiancé Zion Foster were previously told their daughters may never walk and could face serious breathing and swallowing difficulties.
Since then, the singer has been open about the twins’ journey, sharing updates on their care, treatment and the exercises she does with them to help strengthen their bodies.
Fans were deeply moved by Story’s progress. One wrote: “The best girl mama bless her little heart.” Another added: “Oh this made me cry beautiful, well done beautiful girl.” A third said: “Isn’t she the sweetest? Way to go Story.”

Jesy has also used her platform to raise awareness of SMA1 and has spoken about her hopes of helping other parents feel less alone.
For the proud mum, Story’s tiny word was more than a milestone — it was a moment of hope, strength and love.
