Jesy Nelson has shared a deeply emotional update about her twin daughters, revealing a small but powerful milestone in their ongoing health battle.
The former Little Mix star, 34, has been keeping fans closely updated on the journey of her daughters Story and Ocean Jade, who are both living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 — a rare genetic condition that weakens muscles by damaging motor nerve cells in the spinal cord.

In her latest post, Jesy shared a touching video showing the twins trying food in their specialised feeding chairs for the very first time. Sitting carefully supported, the babies were fed fruit purée as Jesy gently guided them through the moment.
Speaking softly to Ocean, she joked that she was supposed to eat it, not spit it out, capturing a rare glimpse of normal motherhood amid an incredibly difficult reality. The video also showed Story reacting sweetly as she enjoyed her food, making soft sounds that melted fans’ hearts.

This moment may seem small, but for Jesy, it marks a significant step forward in a journey filled with uncertainty, medical challenges, and emotional highs and lows.
Earlier this year, the singer admitted she was overwhelmed with emotion when the specialised feeding chairs first arrived. She said she couldn’t help but burst into tears when she saw them, explaining that it was another painful reminder of the obstacles her daughters would have to face.

Despite the heartbreak, Jesy continues to show strength and resilience, documenting both the difficult moments and the quiet victories — and this latest update proves just how meaningful even the smallest progress can be.
