Claudia Winkleman has made a surprising confession about her beloved dog, Skip – she lets him sleep in her bed every night and even French kisses him! The TV personality, known for her charming presence on Strictly Come Dancing, has revealed her deep love for her pet, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who has become a cherished member of her family.

In an interview, the 54-year-old shared how Skip sleeps in bed with her and her husband, Kris Thykier, adding that the pampered pooch is constantly showered with affection, from paw kisses to constant chats. “We chat to him constantly, I kiss his paws, and we can no longer go anywhere without him,” she confessed.
Claudia has gone so far as to describe Skip as “the love of my life” and admits she’s officially in love with dogs. This devotion to Skip led her to beg Channel 4 producers to let her join the Crufts team, a dream gig that she successfully landed after persistent requests. Claudia is now set to join the Crufts presenting team, alongside Clare Balding, Ellie Simmonds, and Radzi Chinyanganya, for the world-famous dog show.
“I begged them for two years, and I wore them down,” Claudia said with a laugh, admitting her love for the spectacle of Crufts and her obsession with meeting every dog breed. While her own dog may not be a contender in the agility circuits – “he can do absolutely no tricks” – Claudia is thrilled to be a part of the event.
With her new role at Crufts and her chat show, The Claudia Winkleman Show, Claudia is certainly keeping busy. But rest assured, Skip will always be by her side, proving that when it comes to dogs, she’s all in.
