Writing on social media and sharing pictures of the two, the Britain’s Got Talent star said: “Bonnie, sending you all my love. You are in my prayers for a full and healthy recovery. I hope to see you soon. Susan xx”

Bonnie Tyler splits her time from her home in Mumbles, Swansea and Faro, Portugal where she remains receiving treatment whilst she recovers from her emergency surgery.

The singer, best known for hits like Holding Out For A Hero and Total Eclipse of the Heart, is scheduled to tour Europe later this year but that remains uncertain as she is unwell.

On Friday, a statement from her team read: “Thank you for the incredible outpouring of love and well wishes we’ve received for Bonnie over the last few days. It truly means the world.

“Bonnie has been put into an induced coma by her doctors to aid her recovery. We know that you all wish her well and ask for privacy at this difficult time please. We will issue a further statement when we are able to.”
