Tess Daly and Vernon Kay looked happier than ever as they stepped out together at Pub in the Park, just a week after announcing their surprise split. The former couple, who tied the knot in 2003 and share daughters Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 16, put on a united front as they mingled with friends and danced to Craig David and Gabrielle.
An onlooker told The Sun: “Tess and Vernon seemed super relaxed in each other’s company… there’s been none of this messy split business. They were laughing, chatting, and clearly still enjoy being around each other.”
The pair were also seen taking selfies with fans, wearing their wedding rings, and sharing laughs with actor Will Mellor, proving that their friendship remains intact despite the end of their marriage.
Last week, Tess and Vernon confirmed their separation with a joint statement: “After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably… We remain great friends and most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents.”
Fans have praised the duo online for showing grace and maturity, calling their display of camaraderie “refreshing” and “inspiring” in the wake of their split.
