Even at 93, Dame Joan Collins proves age is just a number. The iconic Dynasty star dazzled on the red carpet at Variety Power of Women in London on Wednesday night, showing off her radiant complexion, elegant gold sequin blouse, and black midi skirt, paired with classic heels. Her husband, Percy Gibson, 61, was by her side as she received the Power of Women Icon of the Year award.
Reflecting on her extraordinary career, Joan shared: “To survive and thrive in this business, you have to reinvent yourself time and time again.” And clearly, she’s mastered it, attending glamorous events from Cannes to star-studded UK awards nights.
Joan said: ‘I discovered that to survive in this business and to thrive, you have to show which women are needed to reinvent themselves. ‘We have to reinvent ourselves time and time again’

When it comes to her timeless looks, Joan credits good genes and smart, simple habits rather than extreme diets or cosmetic procedures. “I have very good genes – I’m very lucky. My father lived to 87, and my mother took incredible care of me and my sister,” she told The Telegraph. Her secret? Sleep, sun protection, exercise, and balanced living.
Joan has never relied on plastic surgery. She insists her youthful glow comes naturally: “I haven’t had Botox or any tweakments. I look more or less the same as I have done for years. I also always sleep on my back and wear SPF.” She even shared tips from Marilyn Monroe’s personal makeup artist, Allan “Whitey” Snyder: cooling cotton pads on the eyes before events to reduce puffiness.
Fitness is another cornerstone of her routine. Despite a trapped nerve that sidelined her for two months, Joan credits physiotherapy, Pilates, swimming, and a “little and often” approach to staying mobile. She still does the splits with ease and keeps her body limber well into her 90s.
Nutrition also plays a key role. Joan swears by avocados, vitamins, and balanced meals, but she never deprives herself of life’s pleasures. “I’ll drink wine, have dessert, eat toast, and have coffee with sugar. I think I’m just lucky,” she told OK! Magazine.
At 93, Joan Collins is not just surviving—she’s thriving, proving style, grace, and energy truly know no age limit. Her message is clear: embrace health, happiness, and self-care, and always keep reinventing yourself.
