Former Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote has fired back at fans after a series of emotional photos sparked a fierce online debate.
The 34-year-old actress, believed to be going through a split from her husband of two years Kris Evans, posted images to Instagram showing her with tears streaming down her face. The photos immediately prompted worried comments from followers, with one fan bluntly asking, “Where’s Kris?” That question ignited a war of words in the comment section, as some accused the fan of prying while others insisted Georgia had opened herself up to questions by posting the pictures publicly.

Amid the escalating back-and-forth, Georgia stepped in to set the record straight, writing, “It’s a photoshoot guys, please chill out.” Her clarification revealed that the crying was staged, but the post has since been deleted.
The actress’s personal life has been under the microscope in recent months. In July, it was revealed that Georgia and Kris were headed for divorce after she removed her wedding ring and deleted photos of him from her social media. Friends said the couple were still living together but admitted the strain had been immense. A source said Georgia had been through “a lot” following a devastating fire earlier this year that destroyed her nail salon, forcing her to turn to crowdfunding to rebuild her business.

Georgia rose to fame playing Katy Armstrong on Coronation Street from 2010 until 2015, before going on to finish runner-up on Strictly Come Dancing. She has been candid about her struggles to find acting work in recent years, admitting, “It’s just been a nightmare. This has been the quietest I’ve ever been in my life.”

Kris proposed on New Year’s Eve in 2021, and the pair wed in a log cabin-style ceremony in 2023 after a two-year engagement. But with marriage difficulties now looming, Georgia’s latest online drama has only fueled speculation about what’s really going on behind closed doors.
