Katie Price facing cancer relapse after 23 years? She reveals low platelet count, fatigue, weight loss, and the possibility of needing a blood transfusion

Katie Price has revealed she is facing new health worries after noticing troubling symptoms more than two decades since she first battled cancer.

The 47-year-old reality star told listeners of her podcast with sister Sophie that she is undergoing medical checks after experiencing recurring pain in the same finger where she was diagnosed with cancer back in 2002. Katie explained that recent blood tests showed her platelet count was low, which doctors say could explain her fatigue and weight loss. “I’m tired, no energy. They said it can affect that and I might need a blood transfusion to get them back up again,” she admitted.

Katie recalled how she was pregnant with her eldest son Harvey, now 23, when she was first diagnosed with a rare soft tissue cancer called leiomyosarcoma. “When I was pregnant with Harvey I got cancer. They cut it out twice from my finger, and you can still see the scar and dent. It never hurt back then, but a lump came up and it turned out to be cancer. I had to go through MRI scans for six years until I was clear,” she told Sophie.

Now she fears history may be repeating itself. Three weeks ago she noticed the pain had not gone away and said: “I’m going to get that X-rayed and looked at, I hope it’s not that again.” Katie added that she is trying to stay positive but worries bad news could strike just as things are going well. “This better not be my bad news. In my life something good happens and then something bad happens. Let’s hope it’s nothing serious.”

Despite the health scare, Katie is moving ahead with her music comeback. After her 2017 track unexpectedly topped the iTunes charts this week, she has teamed up with a former X Factor contestant and has returned to the studio to record a new song.
