Good Morning Britain star Narinder Kaur has come under fire after appearing to take a swipe at Princess Kate while praising Meghan Markle’s style and authenticity.
The outspoken TV personality shared her thoughts on X, posting a side-by-side photo of Meghan at Paris Fashion Week and Kate at a royal state banquet. “Anna Wintour said Meghan brings modernity to the Royal Family and I totally agree,” Narinder wrote. “Meghan is not only more relatable but also her authentic self. I can’t help but feel sorry for Kate sometimes; she was young when she married William and never really had time to be her true self… and then tradition demands her to dress decades older than she is — in this fuddy-duddy fashion.”
Narinder’s remarks came after Meghan made waves in Paris, where she stunned in two Balenciaga looks — a white shirt and cape ensemble followed by a sleek black gown — turning heads across the fashion world.
But many royal fans were quick to defend the Princess of Wales, with one writing: “Kate is classic. Timeless. She will be forever like Diana. Meghan will fade as most modern trends do.” Another hit back sharply: “Kate is beauty, class and royalty. Markle is not.”
Others, however, sided with Narinder. “So true, Meghan looked amazing — chic and sophisticated,” one user commented, while another claimed: “Kate always looks like she’s wearing hand-me-downs from Queen Elizabeth.”
