Sophie Habboo’s Shock Baby Rule: ‘Kiss My Newborn and I’ll Punch You!’ – No Kisses, No Germs, No Drama: Inside Sophie and Jamie’s Baby Prep Chaos

As Sophie Habboo and husband Jamie Laing prepare to welcome their first child, the former Made In Chelsea star has made one thing crystal clear — nobody is kissing her baby.

Speaking on their Nearly Parents podcast, the 30-year-old mum-to-be confessed that just thinking about people touching or kissing her newborn keeps her awake at night. “No one’s f*****g kissing my baby,” Sophie said firmly. “If anyone comes and kisses my newborn baby, I’ll punch you in the face.”

Jamie couldn’t help but laugh as Sophie continued: “Please don’t come near my baby and risk giving my baby germs.” Pointing at her husband, she teased: “And you were gonna be like, ‘No, that woman said we should give them an immune system, smother them with kisses, strangers and all.’ It gives me sleepless nights!”

Jamie, always ready with a joke, replied: “No, what I said was someone told me you gotta let them get dirt, so I went, ‘Alright, we’ll just take them into the garden and put mud on them.’” Sophie giggled, “Yeah, that’s literally what he said. But maybe not at the newborn stage!”

The couple, who married in a lavish ceremony in Spain in 2023, announced Sophie’s pregnancy in June. Since then, they’ve been busy preparing both emotionally and physically — including transforming their £4.1 million Notting Hill home after a 14-month renovation that Jamie joked “nearly caused a divorce.”

Sharing a video of their stunning new home online, Jamie wrote: “My wife and I bought our first home and started renovating it… 14 months, 10,000 arguments, and nearly divorced later, we’ve finally finished.”

Their spacious London townhouse now boasts a Mediterranean-style kitchen with skylights and marble-topped island, a dreamy en-suite, and a cozy nursery waiting for the little one’s arrival later this year.
