The 47-year-old reality star proudly introduced Arlo earlier this month, sharing sweet moments of the pup cuddling with her son Harvey. But in a new sponsored clip promoting a grey trench coat, eagle-eyed followers were less focused on her outfit and more on what appeared to be a shocking moment involving the tiny dog.
In the short video, Katie wrote: “Taking my new baby Arlo for walkies,” while showing off her outfit. However, fans were quick to point out a moment when it looked like she accidentally kicked the small puppy. One commenter wrote, “Did she just boot him?” while another warned, “Watch your foot!”
Some users even mocked the clip’s length, with one joking, “Great walk… 8 yards… Lord be with you, Arlo, may you live to see Christmas.”
The backlash comes as a petition calling for Katie to be banned from owning pets has surpassed 37,000 signatures. The campaign emerged after a string of controversies involving her animals, including reports that her cat Doris’s kittens recently became seriously ill.
Earlier this month, Katie gushed about how Arlo “never leaves her side” and said she was excited for him to meet her other dog, Rookie. She said, “This is Rookie’s new little friend for when we go horse riding, walks, everything.”
However, critics were quick to recall a previous incident where she was accused of endangering Rookie by letting the dog hang out of a moving car window during a horse ride.
While Katie has yet to respond to the latest accusations, the viral clip has reignited the heated debate over whether she should continue keeping pets—something thousands of her followers now say should stop.
