Lynch, now 50, could walk free after serving a minimum jail sentence after being considered for parole for the first time, MailOnline reports.
A three-day hearing is reportedly due to take place this month to determine his freedom.
A spokesperson for the Parole Board said: “An oral hearing has been listed for the parole review of Daniel Lynch and is scheduled to take place in March 2026.
“Parole reviews are undertaken thoroughly and with extreme care. Protecting the public is our number one priority.”
They added the panel would review a “huge range of evidence” while victim personal statements will be given at the hearing.
Lynch was put behind bars for life with a minimum sentence of 16 years in 2009 for instructing Stefan Sylvestre to throw sulphuric acid at Katie days after raping and stabbing her in a hotel room.
While Katie was walking down the street in Golders Green, North London, Sylvestre hurled the acid at her face at point-blank range.
Lynch was found guilty of rape and grievous bodily harm and admitted to actual bodily harm at Wood Green Crown Court.
However, he was released on-license in 2018, aged 30, and is reported to have absconded and now living out of the country.
At the time of sentencing, the judge said the pair “represent the face of pure evil” and the facts of the case were “chilling, shocking”.
“You planned and then executed an act of pure, calculated and deliberate evil,” the judge said.
Katie, a panellist on Loose Women, was just 24 when the attack took place leaving her with devastating injuries to her face and eyesight.
Lynch and Piper had begun their relationship in February, 2008 – after meeting on social media site Facebook.
She previously told The Sun she was lucky to have survived, but there was an agonising road to recovery ahead to rebuild her face and her life – her injuries have required more than 400 operations since that day.
For the first two years following the attack, Katie had to wear a clear plastic mask on her face.
But in the years since she has blazed a trail, pushing for greater diversity in public life and the TV industry.
She has long been open about her fears of Lynch wanting to harm or even attempt to kill her again upon his release.
She has produced two personal documentaries with Channel 4, written her autobiography and a series of self-development books while also appearing at public speaking events.
The star even established the Katie Piper Foundation which provides support for burn victims.
Last year, she shared an update with fans revealing she was going to have an artificial eye, after “battling” with her eye health for years.
Katie’s representatives declined to comment at this time.
