“Back On Screen At Last!”: Katie Price Finally Appears On Daughter Princess Andre’s Reality Show After Claiming ITV ‘Banned’ Her — As Peter Andre And Emily Step Away From Series

Katie Price has finally made an appearance on her daughter Princess Andre’s ITV2 reality show — months after publicly claiming she had been banned from taking part.

The 47-year-old former glamour model appeared briefly via FaceTime during the opening episode of the second series of The Princess Diaries, which returned to screens last night.

The moment came as Princess, 18, prepared for a glamorous Tatler event and turned to her famous mum for fashion advice while shopping for the perfect dress.

In the episode, Princess was joined by her older brother Junior, 20, on a shopping trip as she searched for an outfit for the star-studded Little Black Book party, held last November.

Standing in the dressing room wearing a shimmering gold strapless dress, Princess decided to call her mum for help — admitting she wanted to avoid another fashion mishap.

Princess explained in a VT clip that the last time she appeared on the red carpet, her mum wasn’t impressed with the outfits she and Junior had chosen. She said this time she wanted her mum’s opinion before the press saw photos the next day.

When Katie appeared on the phone, Princess asked: “Have you heard of Tatler?”

Katie responded confidently that of course she knew the magazine, prompting Princess to explain she had been invited to their party and needed help choosing the right dress because her mum would know best.

Katie quickly offered some guidance, telling her daughter she needed something fashionable and trendy.

When Princess mentioned the invitation suggested a cocktail dress, Katie warned her not to go for something too conservative, reminding her she was only 18 and should avoid looking frumpy.

Princess then showed the gold strapless maxi dress she had been trying on, which immediately received her mum’s approval.

She also modelled another option — a black mini dress covered in sequins — which left Katie impressed. The reality star exclaimed that the dress was gorgeous and told her daughter she should stand out like a star.

After trying it on and showing it to Junior, who sweetly told his sister the look was cute, Princess ultimately chose the outfit her mum had recommended and wore it to the high-profile event.

The Princess Diaries first launched on ITV last year and follows Princess as she begins carving out her own career in showbiz. The show previously featured her father Peter Andre, stepmother Emily MacDonagh and brother Junior.

However, Katie was noticeably absent from the first series and later claimed she had been banned from appearing. She alleged the decision had been made by Princess’s management team, who also represent Peter.

Speaking about the situation at the time, Katie said she was not allowed and not welcome on the show, adding that the situation hurt her feelings.

She explained that as a parent she had always supported her children at school assemblies, Christmas events, awards and sports matches — and found it upsetting to be left out while Princess pursued a career in the same industry she once dominated.

Katie said she loved seeing Princess follow a similar path in showbiz, but revealed she had not been allowed to attend photoshoots, signings or public appearances linked to the show.

Despite the previous drama, sources confirmed earlier this year that Katie would finally appear in the new series.

One insider revealed that Katie had filmed several scenes for the show, describing it as a dramatic turnaround after her earlier exclusion. The source added that Katie remains a huge part of Princess’s life and both mother and daughter wanted her involved.

Interestingly, while Katie has now joined the series, Princess’s father Peter Andre and his wife Emily MacDonagh have stepped away from filming.

Reports suggest the couple chose not to appear after tensions between Katie and Peter overshadowed the show’s launch last year.

A source said Princess’s big moment ended up being dominated by her parents’ ongoing feud, which took attention away from her career milestone.

With Katie now making her on-screen debut in the show — and Peter and Emily stepping back — the new series looks set to bring an entirely different dynamic to Princess’s rising reality TV journey
