“BACK TO SET… AND THE MOST HEARTBREAKING REVELATION.” After more than a month since her mother went missing, Savannah Guthrie quietly returned to the Today studio just to hug her close colleagues. But in that emotional moment, the host also revealed a truth that left many speechless: her family is preparing for all possibilities, while still hoping for a miracle. While the search for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie has yet to yield any breakthroughs, her family has offered a $1 million reward for any information leading to her return. Amidst grief and fragile hope, Savannah admitted that returning to what was once her “second home” was perhaps the hardest thing she had ever had to do.

Savannah Guthrie made her first appearance back on the Today show set as the search continues for her missing mother, Nancy.

On February 1, Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing. Authorities believe she was kidnapped from her home in Tucson, Arizona.

Since Nancy’s disappearance, the case has been extremely complicated and confusing. In the weeks that followed, multiple ransom notes were sent to media outlets, but none have been traced to a prime suspect.

A recent development in the investigation came when the FBI released photos and videos of a possible suspect outside Nancy’s home the night she vanished. The unsettling footage shows someone wearing a black ski mask, seemingly trying to get inside.

The person is seen grabbing plants from Nancy’s front yard and using them to block her security cameras.

Even with this significant development, police still have no lead on the kidnapper.

Family members close to Nancy have been cleared by officials as possible suspects, and they’re now offering a $1 million reward in hopes that someone will come forward with information to bring her home.

Not long after, the show went live, and Jenna Bush Hagar spoke about Savannah’s visit.

“She said that she has the intention to return to the show, even though it feels like the hardest thing to do; it’s also her home, and where she feels so loved, and she is beyond loved here,” Hager said, clearly emotional. “And so we’re happy that she is home. I don’t know when she’s actually returning to the show, but she was here, and that felt so good to get to hug her.”
