Gladiators host Bradley Walsh screamed live on air as an unplanned moment caused him to momentarily lose his composure and halt regular proceeedings for a few seconds. The Chase star was hosting the second semi-final of the BBC athletic endurance show with son Barney when the incident happened. In a segue into an event the father and son team were having a scripted chat.
Looking confident Bradley said: “This next event, our contenders need nerves of steel. Like me.” An incredulous Barney exclaimed: “You nerves of steel”” in a clearly rehearsed moment. Bradley confirmed this saying: “I don’t get rattled by anything. Nothing phases me Barnes .” However unbeknownst to him Gladiator Fury was creeping up behind him and burst a balloon right next to him causing him to scream in fright. “Next…” he yelped trying to continue and looking visibly startled as both Barney and Furey laughed heartily as he tried to pull himself together.
“You didn’t tell me about that did you,” he laughed turnign to the Gladiator clearly still shaken but taking it in good spirits.
Barney found the whole thing amusing and couldn’t contain his giggles as he interjected to say: “Time for the next event,” before conspiratorially high fiving the athelete.
The show then cut to The Wall which began with female semi-finalist Millie taking on Gladiator Sabre. Sadly for the hopeful she failed the event in just 20 seconds.
Next up was the second female semi-finalist Emily who took on Comet. She was luckier and proved victorious in 33 seconds.

In the same event the men both lost to the Gladiators as Shaun and Josh took on Hammer and Nitro respectively.
Emily eventually emerged victorious overall to take a place in the final which will air on Saturday March 28. She joins first semi finalist Naomi as both women hope to win the contest.
when it came to the men’s eliminator it was won by Josh who will now join foirst semi-finalist Tyler in the grand final in the hopes of emerging victorious and becoming the shows latest men’s champion.
