On the hunt for Theo Silverton’s (James Cartwright) murderer, DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) slaps the hand-cuffs on one unlucky Coronation Street resident… who isn’t even a suspect!
Nobody in Weatherfield is shedding a tear over the death of an abusive monster like Theo, but Lisa’s got her own reasons for wanting this murder solved.
A) She’s a police officer, and B) the discovery of a dead body on her wedding day kind of killed the whole vibe.
With the assistance of her colleague Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) Lisa is sifting through six major subjects in an attempt to discover who killed one of the most hated villains to ever walk the Cobbles.
Number one on the list is Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce), the long suffering husband of Theo who endured just about every kind of abuse there is thanks to the raging narcissist.

However, so far Lisa has taken a particular interest in interviewing Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby), who lost her adoptive stepdad Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) thanks to Theo. And boy, does she love to write about it. Her journal is full of fantasies about holding a gun to Theo’s head.
On the other hand, Kit’s got his sights on Gary Windass (Mikey North), Theo’s ex best mate and boss who doesn’t take kindly for bullies… because he’s already put one in the ground. With that in mind, the fact that the CCTV caught him bashing Theo’s van with a sledgehammer hours before he dieddoesn’t look too good for the badboy builder

Then there’s a man who is all too familiar with death, the local undertaker George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley). He loves Todd like a son, and was the first to see Theo for the monster he truly was.
The friendliest coffin merchant in Manchester was the first to be arrested for the murder, after Lisa found a bloodstained jumper at the funeral parlour. He was released soon after, but there’s still the matter of that ‘midnight constitutional’ he took on the evening of Theo’s death.
Let’s not forget his partner, Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins). Is she covering for George… or for herself?

Finally there’s the bitter ex wife, Danielle Silverton (Natalie Anderson) who has good reason to be bitter. Theo left her and their two kids to start a new life with Todd.
She might have come back to buy flowers for her not-so-dearly departed husband and bond with Todd over their shared marriage misery, but it won’t stop her from accusing Todd of killing Theo for the life insurance… right before Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) reveals how he saw her at the crime scene on the night Theo was killed.
Now that Danielle’s in the frame, the investigations of DS Connor- Swain (now there’s a spin-off for you, ITV) take a shocking turn in upcoming episodes of Coronation Street when she’s faced with the possibility of a brand new suspect.
After Ryan’s revelation regarding Danielle’s whereabouts during the night of the murder, Lisa tells Todd she’s interviewed Danielle. But how did it go?

In the visiting room, a distressed Summer reveals to Todd that she’s considering pleading guilty to manslaughter as it seems her only option.
Heartbroken for Summer, Todd asks Lisa if he can have his phone back from the police now – but her response floors Todd. What did Lisa say?

Meanwhile, Lisa talks to Carla Connor-Swain (Alison King) about her new boss and how she’s happy to let Summer take the rap for Theo’s murder without looking further afield.
However, it looks like there’s been a breakthrough when Todd’s phone is found at a pawn shop. Lisa orders it to be sent to Forensics…
… and to everyone’s surprise, Lisa arrives and arrests local likely lad Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) on suspicion of theft!

Sally and Tim Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor and Joe Duttine) can only watch in horror as Lisa leads a protesting Brody to her car, after Forensics found his fingerprints all over Todd’s phone. Kit listens with concern.
Can Brody explain himself or is he in the frame for Theo’s murder?
