Gemma Collins Panics, Fears She’ll Be ‘Hospitalised’ After One of I’m A Celebrity’s Most Brutal Eating Trials — While Craig Is Sick On the Spot

Gemma Collins was pushed to breaking point after making a dramatic late entrance into I’m A Celebrity… South Africa, with the reality star fearing she could end up “hospitalised” during one of the grisliest eating trials the ITV spin-off has delivered so far.

The 45-year-old joined Craig Charles for a brutal Bushtucker challenge called Gut Instincts, a stomach-churning showdown that saw both stars forced to battle through a revolting menu of extreme dishes in a bid to win food for camp. But while Craig was physically sick during the ordeal, Gemma also reached her limit — at one point refusing to continue with one dish as she warned she was “going to be hospitalised” if she carried on.

Before the challenge even began, Gemma made an emotional plea to her fellow contestants, saying: “Just give me a chance guys, please. I’ve got a different mindset this time, don’t write me off.”

Her return to the jungle world was already under pressure from the moment hosts Ant and Dec revealed that she and Craig would be thrown straight into an eating trial before being split between rival camps. After the main camp chose Craig, Gemma was sent to Savannah Scrub.

The trial’s cruel format forced both players to secretly decide how many portions of each dish they were willing to take on. Whoever committed to the higher number then had to eat them to bank the points — but if they failed, the other contestant had the chance to swoop in, finish the food and steal the reward.

And this was no ordinary eating task.

Among the stomach-turning creations placed in front of them were Fish Eye Pie, a Terror-rine made with blended chicken intestine, and Brain Freeze — a dish made from springbok brains that proved especially difficult for Gemma to face.

Seeing the horror menu, Craig could barely believe what was in store as he asked: “Have you ramped this up because it doesn’t look that bad on the telly?” Dec shot back with a warning: “This is the Legends.”

Despite the growing nausea, both contestants fought their way through six of the seven rounds, with Craig edging ahead on 12 points and Gemma close behind on 10. But the real drama was still to come.

The trial was set to reach its explosive conclusion with both stars vowing to take on 30 Bloody Moory Shots each — a sickening blend of bull’s heart and bull’s blood. Refusing to back down, Gemma declared: “I’m gonna bang the whole tray. I’m doing my best.”

With Ant and Dec confirming it would become an all-out race to the finish, the pressure instantly intensified: whoever finished first would win meals for their camp — but if either star was sick, they would lose the round on the spot.

What followed left the camp stunned, with Gemma once again proving she was determined to rewrite the story of her first jungle appearance — even if it meant pushing herself to the absolute brink.
