TV chef Jamie Oliver has opened up about the shocking health warning he received from his doctor, revealing how his love for food and his busy career have led to some serious health issues.
Known for transforming children’s eating habits, Jamie admitted that his own lifestyle had taken a toll on his body. “I had a little MOT a year and a half ago, and the doctor said: ‘You’ve got to sort out this stuff,’” he told MailOnline. “I’m paid to eat. I do eat good stuff, but I eat too much of it. I’m greedy, I love it.”
Despite the warning, Jamie has turned things around. The 48-year-old chef managed to shed two stone (12 kilos) by making mindful changes to his diet. He shared with Radio Times, “I pushed meat down, pushed veggies up, got more sleep, and more movement. I ate more than I used to – and lost weight quickly, not by starving myself but by making better choices.”

But that’s not the only challenge Jamie has faced. The star also revealed his ongoing battle with a slipped disc, which has caused him intense pain over the past four years. “I’ve had weeks where I’ve been able to stand for only 40 seconds at a time,” he said. The chef, whose career requires him to be constantly on his feet, admits it’s been tough. “If I stop, this whole thing falls apart.”
To manage the pain, Jamie is proactive about seeing his doctor at the first sign of trouble, adding, “Now, if I get a sniff of it, I’m straight to see my doctor, and he sticks a bloody great needle in my back.”

Through it all, Jamie remains determined to take charge of his health, and fans are applauding his honesty in sharing his struggles. What’s next for the chef? Only time will tell, but Jamie’s message is clear: health must come first.
