Katie Price has expressed her frustration after a Good Morning Britain interview last Monday (March 16), claiming the conversation “did not go to plan” and that it was “too serious” and “too quick.”
The former glamour model, 47, appeared on the show to set the record straight about various aspects of her personal life, including her recent marriage to Lee Andrews. However, she said the questions about her whirlwind relationship, health, and weight caught her off guard, leaving her feeling rushed during the interview.
In a vlog posted after the live show, Katie opened up about how she felt during the interview, explaining: “Oh my god, I was sitting there and they are trying to be serious, and I’m trying to be all happy and breezy, and they’re like… ‘Well don’t you think that…?’ ‘Well, no, not really!’”
Katie added, “They asked about my weight, my marriage, my family… and it just went so quick! I didn’t even feel like I answered anything! It was like bombard, bombard, bombard. It felt like I was on there for just a minute!”
Despite the tough questions, Katie didn’t shy away from defending her decisions. She clarified once again that her marriage to Lee was genuine, revealing that she had been questioned about the speed of their union, with some speculating that she didn’t know who she was marrying. Katie stood firm, explaining, “Do you ever really know anyone? You can’t always know who someone truly is. I’m older, I’ve learned a lot, and it feels right for me.”
Katie also took the opportunity to clear up the confusion surrounding her husband’s education, stating that while Lee does not have a PhD from Cambridge University, he has one from a university in Spain.
The interview also touched on concerns about Katie’s health, particularly her weight. Susanna Reid expressed concern about Katie appearing “very, very skinny,” and Katie explained that she had sought medical advice. “I recognise I have lost weight. I look too skinny, I look gaunt. But I’ve been to the doctors, done blood tests, and I’m going through pre-menopause right now. I’m healthy, so no one needs to worry about me.”
Katie’s response to the interview and the serious topics discussed resonated with many viewers, as she remained candid and confident in her responses despite the grilling from the hosts.
Katie concluded, “I am healthy, I’m happy, and I just want people to be happy for me.”
