Princess Andre has opened up about her troubled childhood, admitting her mum Katie Price’s infamous “Mucky Mansion” was a “really scary” place to grow up.
The 18-year-old reality star, who is now fronting her own ITV series The Princess Diaries, spoke candidly about how her mother’s turbulent love life and volatile home environment shaped her. “It was a really scary house. A lot went on there. So I didn’t really like it,” Princess told The Guardian.

She recalled how her mum’s marriage to Kieran Hayler was especially traumatic and revealed she often saw things “no kids should have seen.” Reflecting on her experiences, she admitted: “I did have a counsellor, I do still see her every now and then. But I don’t feel like I can really talk, so I just write everything down in my notes. I do wish I could have had a happier childhood. I had so many things on my plate at a young age.”

Katie, 47, has also confessed she “hated” living in the Sussex mansion, which was showcased on her Channel 4 DIY reality series. She left the property last year after being declared bankrupt for the second time.

Despite the painful memories, Princess says she has now found balance living between her mum and dad, Peter Andre, 52. Comparing their homes, she explained: “Dad’s house is a lot quieter, a lot more peaceful, a lot more organised. Whereas my mum’s house is much more just do what you want. I love being in the middle. If I fancy a bit more chaotic and busy I’ll go to Mum’s, and if I fancy more relaxed I’ll go to Dad’s.”

Her raw honesty on The Princess Diaries has earned her widespread praise, with viewers admiring her bravery in confronting a difficult past while carving out her own future in the spotlight.
