Princess Andre, 18, has revealed the extraordinary bond she shares with her stepmother Emily — calling her “the perfect stepmother” and crediting her with creating a safe, loving home after a turbulent childhood with her mother, Katie Price.
In her ITV series The Princess Diaries, Princess opened up about leaning on Emily for guidance and comfort. She admitted that growing up, she “saw things kids shouldn’t” and is still healing from her mother’s “dark times.” Emily, who married Peter Andre in 2015, stepped into Princess’s life when she was just three years old. Balancing her medical studies with raising Princess and her brother Junior, Emily became a steady presence and a constant source of support.
A family insider said Princess holds “deep respect and admiration” for Emily: “She knows how hard it must have been, but Emily never let it show. Princess now realises just how special she is.”
The close bond was evident when Princess confided in Emily over a recent heartbreak, admitting she couldn’t “picture being with anyone else.” Emily reassured her, encouraging self-care and telling her, “You’re a big catch.”
Princess also shared that she sought counselling, noting that she “couldn’t just go to dad” because her parents “don’t like each other.” About her mother, she reflected: “She’s unpredictable and lives life like she doesn’t care. I love that about her, but deep down I cry about it.”
Despite the emotional challenges of her upbringing, Princess is now thriving, signing major beauty and fashion deals while carving her own path away from her mother’s controversies. Last year, she summed up her feelings in one heartfelt sentence: “She’s the perfect stepmother. I couldn’t have asked for better.”
