Peter Andre has shared an emotional update about his beloved mum Thea as she continues her fight with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
The singer, 52, revealed in his weekly column that Thea, who lives in Australia with Peter’s dad Savvas, has now lost almost all of her speech. The heartbreaking news comes just weeks after he admitted feeling “guilt and worry” over living so far from his parents while watching his mum’s decline.

“It’s absolutely heartbreaking,” Peter said earlier this summer. “With a disease like Alzheimer’s, it’s so hard for the person suffering, but it’s also painful for the family. I see the decline happening and I know the feelings of guilt and helplessness we all share. It’s so painful for everyone.”
Despite the sadness, the couple recently marked a milestone — celebrating an astonishing 70 years of marriage. Peter revealed that they even received congratulatory letters from King Charles and Queen Camilla, as well as from Australia’s Governor-General Samantha Mostyn.

“They have received a wonderful letter from the King,” Peter shared proudly. “Although Mum’s speech is almost non-existent now, I know her heart is full of warmth from all the love and support. Happy 70th wedding anniversary, Mum and Dad – you are the greatest inspiration to us all.”

Marking the moment online, Peter posted a touching montage of family photos and added: “I prayed for this moment. They made it – 70 years of marriage for the most incredible parents. Mum and Dad, we love you more than words can describe. Please may Jehovah bless you both. You are two of a kind, and I’ll see you very, very soon.”
