Louise Redknapp was targeted by cruel online comments after appearing on The One Show on Tuesday night.
The singer, 51, joined Jessica Raine, Timothy Spall and Damien Molony on the BBC sofa to announce an exciting career milestone: her return to touring next April, marking nearly 30 years in pop.
“So, I’m just going on tour next year,” Louise revealed. “It’s the first time I’ve been on tour in a long time.”
She explained that her last planned tour was cut short by the pandemic, saying: “I did actually have a tour and Covid happened. I did three nights, and we had to cancel the whole thing, which was devastating.”
Louise added: “So yeah, I’m finally going on tour next April and can’t wait!”
But while she was there to celebrate new music and her long-awaited comeback, some viewers turned their attention to her appearance instead.
One wrote: “Louise looking like life has been a bit tough,” while another asked: “What’s happened to her face?”
A third commented: “Louise looks different,” and another cruelly claimed: “What has she done to her beautiful face? It no longer moves! Women stop it, it’s not attractive.”
However, many fans were quick to focus on Louise’s career news and praised her on-screen appearance.
