Vogue Williams has waded straight into the Beckham family drama — and she’s not holding back.
The presenter has openly criticised David Beckham’s controversial decision to publicly reach out to his son Brooklyn, despite the young star previously making it clear he wanted no contact online.
The long-running rift within the Beckham family has already played out in public, but tensions reignited after Brooklyn issued a shock statement earlier this year. In it, he accused his parents of being “controlling” and even trying to “ruin” his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz. He also insisted he did not want to reconcile and specifically asked them not to contact him via social media.
Yet when Brooklyn turned 27, David appeared to ignore that request.
The football icon shared throwback photos of the pair on Instagram, writing: “27 today. Happy Birthday Bust. We love you.” Victoria Beckham followed with her own tribute, posting a black-and-white snap alongside the message: “Happy 27th birthday, Brooklyn. I love you so much,” complete with a string of red heart emojis.
While some fans saw the posts as heartfelt olive branches, others viewed them as crossing a clear boundary — and Vogue Williams firmly falls into the latter camp.
Speaking on her Vogue and Amber podcast, she didn’t mince her words. She said that when David Beckham posted about Brooklyn after he had explicitly asked not to be mentioned online, she thought it was a bit out of line. She added that Brooklyn had been very clear, saying he didn’t want his parents posting about him at all.
But Vogue didn’t let Brooklyn off the hook either.
She pointed to his Mother’s Day post, which raised eyebrows when he shared a tribute not to Victoria, but to his mother-in-law. Brooklyn posted a photo with Nicola Peltz’s mum and captioned it “best mother-in-law in the world” — a move Vogue described as deeply hurtful.
She said it felt like “a stab in the boob,” adding that she couldn’t imagine how painful that must have been and calling the gesture “so mean.”
The clash of opinions highlights just how messy the Beckham family fallout has become — with both sides now facing criticism from the public and celebrities alike.
