Katie Price’s controversial husband Lee Andrews has set tongues wagging once again — this time with a jaw-dropping claim that he is planning to buy a major stake in Chelsea Football Club, one of the biggest teams in the Premier League.
The Dubai-based businessman, 42, has boldly insisted that he has the financial firepower to pull off the deal — despite widespread scepticism about his wealth and background following his whirlwind marriage to the former glamour model earlier this year.

Speaking about his astonishing ambition, Andrews said he couldn’t reveal the full details behind his finances but insisted the money is real. He claimed the funds would be verified and added that although the plan sounds “crazy” and “ambitious,” people should “watch this space.”
But insiders close to the couple appeared baffled by the claim, with one source admitting they knew nothing about any such deal and openly doubting it would ever happen.
Chelsea, currently sitting sixth in the Premier League and trailing leaders Arsenal by a huge margin, was bought by American billionaire Todd Boehly and his BlueCo consortium for a staggering £4.25billion back in 2022. Any potential takeover would require an enormous financial commitment — something critics argue Andrews has yet to convincingly demonstrate.

While Boehly’s wealth is well documented — with an estimated fortune of up to $9.3billion and a business empire that includes a major stake in the Los Angeles Dodgers — Andrews’ financial standing remains far more unclear. He has previously claimed to earn between £2million and £5million a year through various US investments, a figure that pales in comparison to the scale needed for a deal of this magnitude.
The businessman has also raised eyebrows with a string of extravagant claims, including alleged links to Elon Musk and assertions that he is on track to become a “future trillionaire.” His social media posts have only fuelled the controversy, boasting about mysterious income streams, elite connections, and membership of “the 1%.”
His credibility has been further questioned by former partners, including ex-fiancée Alana Percival, who accused him of misleading her about his wealth and taking money under false pretences. Other exes have reportedly branded him a “scammer” and warned Katie to “run for the hills.”
Andrews has also claimed to hold a PhD from Cambridge University and to speak multiple languages fluently, including Arabic — though some of these assertions have been disputed.

Despite the backlash, Katie Price has stood firmly by her husband, insisting she has seen proof of his academic background and placing full trust in him — even choosing not to sign a prenup before their whirlwind wedding.
Now, as his boldest claim yet sends shockwaves through football and showbiz alike, all eyes are on whether this is the start of a sensational takeover… or just another headline-grabbing promise.
